Call or come by our office to make an appointment to meet with a certification specialist to review your transcript and next steps.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
☑ A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning
☑ A 2.5 minimum cumulative GPA or better or a 2.5 GPA in last 60 semester hours
☑ A minimum of 12 semester credit hours in the subject-specific content area for the certification sought, unless certification sought is for mathematics or science; or 15 semester credit hours in the subject-specific content area for the certification sought
☑ Pass a critical thinking exam
☑ Submit application with an official transcript with degree conferred
☑ The TOEFL-IBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language-Internet Based Test Code B241) applies to candidates graduated from another country. A minimum score of 26-Speaking, 22-Listening, 22-Reading, and a 21 on Writing.

Once admitted into the program start the 150-hour training process and seek employment.
PHASE 1:
☑ Pass the TExES content and content related exams
☑ Begin the 150-hour training coursework
☑ Complete 30 Field Based Experience (FBE) Hours

Start teaching! Earn a full teacher’s salary. Program mentors will support and guide you.
Phase 2:
☑ Seek Employment
☑ Conduct a criminal background check
☑ Internship (1 year, 180-day assignment)

-28 weeks half day assignment
☑ Complete path to 300 Hours
