Process, Routes, and Program Fees | |
Minimum Requirements Common
to all Certification Areas and Levels: The
following evaluated through official transcripts (unofficial transcripts
can be used temporarily): -
a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution degree must be verifiable through
an official transcript stating date degree conferred -
a minimum cumulative grade point average (gpa) of 2.5 on a 4 point system, or

EC-4 Bilingual Generalist: a 2.5 gpa for 6 hours in Spanish and proficiency in
Spanish (by interview)
Specifically
for 4-8 certifications: -
for Mathematics, or English Language Arts and Reading a minimum of a 2.5 gpa for
24 hours in a single specialized training area and a 2.75 gpa for 12 advanced
hours of the 24

for Science: a 2.5 gpa for 24 hours from a combination of 3 of the 4 areas: Biology,
Chemistry, Physics, or Geology/Astronomy and 2.75 gpa for 12 advanced hours of
the 24

or Geography/Economics and a 2.75 gpa for12 advanced hours of the 24
